Generator in Auto and ready to run upon arrival. Simulated an outage. Had customer turn HVAC down so I could monitor load. Checked both well pumps for cycling. Inspected fuel pressure. Pressure is 11” under load. When power was turned back on generator sensed utility and shut down as it should. While under load generator had 3 separate loads hits. Amperage never exceeded 22 amps per leg while monitoring generator. Allowed generator to run under load for 30 minutes. Could not duplicate the surging or any issue customer spoke of. Stepper motor plug is secured/seated into controller. Stepper motor resistance checks good. Fuel lever is fully turned to LP.

Screw holding choke flap came loose and allowed rod between choke and solenoid to fall off. This made engine unable to choke itself during startup. I put everything back together and added an adhesive/loctite to screw. Generator is now able to choke itself while starting and engine does start and run. We will need to keep an eye on repairs and if it happens again we will order necessary parts to make sure this does not happen again.
